Tim's main area of research is quantitative macroeconomics focusing on Bewley-type models. Currently he is focusing on models of occupational choice and human capital and their implications for inequality. Tim earned a B.A. in economics from Seoul National University in South Korea, 2002, and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2011. He served in the Republic of Korea (ROK) Air Force in 2002-2005, as a Liaison Officer at the ROK Logistics Command, then as an Intel/Protocol/Interpreting Officer at the ROK-US Combined Forces Command.
